The Youth Services Director is a key member of The client’s leadership team and serves as a strategic partner to the Executive Director in advancing the organization’s mission of preparing children and youth for their best futures. This role provides leadership for the Transitional Living Campus and community-based youth services, overseeing residential programs, case management, regulatory compliance, and program operations while ensuring young people receive the support, guidance, and life skills needed to transition to independent adulthood. The director strengthens organizational effectiveness by developing high-performing teams, improving operational systems, using data to drive decision-making, and ensuring programs deliver positive outcomes.
The role emphasizes practical skill-building and confidence for long-term success, supporting youth as they pursue education, employment, financial independence, stable housing, and healthy relationships. The ideal candidate is a mature, collaborative leader who balances compassion with accountability, maintains strong professional boundaries, and empowers youth to take ownership of their futures. The director will typically partner closely with community stakeholders and service providers to coordinate support and facilitate successful transitions.
Responsibilities include providing strategic and operational leadership for youth services to ensure alignment with the mission, regulatory requirements, and independence-focused outcomes; partnering with the Executive Director to evaluate organizational needs and refine program structure; and leading continuous quality improvement. The director is expected to ensure high-quality, life-skills-based service delivery that encourages increasing responsibility and self-sufficiency, maintain strong relationships with youth and families, and support youth with complex transition needs. This position also includes staff leadership and professional development for direct reports, along with participation in an on-call weekend rotation.
