We are looking for three independent Directors to join the inaugural board of our client and help guide the organization through its formation and early years of operation. The Directors will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, establishing governance and performance frameworks, managing risk, building capability, and maintaining relationships with shareholders, iwi, regulators, and communities. The appointments are expected to be confirmed by mid-2026, in preparation for our client commencing operations in July 2027. The Director appointments will be for a three-year term, with one Director serving as Chair, and additional Directors being appointed by the shareholding councils.These roles are foundational in nature, as successful candidates will have the opportunity to shape a new organization from the ground up and leave a lasting legacy for the West Coast. By supporting the delivery of safe, sustainable, and resilient water services, the Directors will contribute to the well-being of future generations. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in governance, strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, and will be committed to upholding the values and mission of our client.
