The client, an international food manufacturer, is seeking an Operations Director for their production site in the southern Greater Hamburg / Northern Lower Saxony area. The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing production, quality, logistics, purchasing, engineering, and maintenance processes. They will lead and motivate the team, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, manage investment projects, and collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, sales, and research & development. The successful candidate will report directly to the executive board.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in food technology, process engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field, along with several years of experience in a leadership role in food production. They should have strong knowledge of food production, quality assurance, and safety, as well as leadership skills, analytical thinking, and experience with Lean management and process optimization. Fluency in German and English is required for this role.
