Description

We are seeking a VP of Trade Marketing to support a rapidly growing, publicly traded consumer products organization focused on tobacco-free and nicotine-free alternatives. This leadership role will drive trade marketing strategy and execution across the convenience store channel, helping strengthen distribution, sell-in, merchandising, and ongoing commercial performance through distributor and retail partnerships.

Key responsibilities include supporting distributors and retail chains, coordinating distribution promotions, and partnering with distributor DSD teams to improve sell-in and in-store merchandising. The role will also cultivate programs that drive product availability and sales, manage customer relationships to support future repurchases, and coordinate consumer engagement activities at retail locations. In addition, you will oversee an inside sales team, supervise CRM data management, set and track KPIs against weekly and monthly goals, and ensure effective execution of both cold and hot lead follow-up.

The ideal candidate will bring strong sales or trade marketing experience in the convenience channel, with a track record that may include prior experience in large CPG environments and/or demonstrated entrepreneurial success in smaller or startup settings. Proficiency with MS Excel and strong communication skills are required, and experience in trade marketing or commercial leadership roles such as Trade Marketing Director, Commercial Director, Sales Director, VP of Sales, or VP of Marketing is preferred; familiarity with categories such as tobacco alternatives, snacks, and beverages is also valued.
