Description

The client is seeking a VP of Sales responsible for overall sales and marketing management, including management of distributors and trade channels. The role will lead the co-development and implementation of the commercial and marketing plan, with ownership of business planning, analysis, and control to drive brand performance and established sales goals.

Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with importer/distributor teams and trade partners to ensure effective execution of marketing plans, the achievement of sales targets, and alignment with brand positioning. The VP of Sales will develop pricing and discount strategy, create distributor accountability frameworks through agreed marketing and sales plans, facilitate review meetings to evaluate performance and recommend improvements, and partner with trade marketing and sales teams to implement initiatives and identify opportunities for growth.

The position also manages brand distribution strategy and growth drivers, including merchandising and point-of-sale programs, promotion and experiential program supervision, and pre- and post-event ROI analysis. Additional duties include trade research and gap analysis, inventory and POS monitoring to avoid out-of-stocks, compliance oversight, strategic alliance development, and maintaining regular reporting to the CEO on performance versus plan, distribution and key account outcomes, competitive activity, and market changes, with over half of the time typically spent outside the office/home.
