the client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven VP of Sales (Midwest) to lead sales efforts across the Midwest region, from Texas to Illinois. This role is focused on driving sales growth and expanding market presence in both on-premise and off-premise channels. The position will develop and execute strategic sales plans, build strong relationships with key accounts, and provide leadership to achieve revenue targets and brand objectives.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies to meet regional growth targets; managing and leading a sales team through guidance, coaching, and support; and cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key on-premise and off-premise accounts, distributors, and partners. The VP of Sales will monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities and challenges, and will collaborate with marketing and brand teams to develop promotional programs and initiatives that increase brand awareness and drive sales. The role also includes preparing regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the spirits industry, particularly the ultra-premium segment, along with a proven track record in sales leadership roles and strategic thinking. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with an MBA preferred, and at least 10 years of sales experience with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within the spirits industry. The candidate should have demonstrated success managing sales teams and achieving revenue growth in the luxury spirits market, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel extensively across the Midwest region. Prior experience across major spirits organizations may be beneficial, though it is not required.
