the client provides 360° search solutions to global commodities markets, with coverage across trading houses, producers, and other market participants. the client is working with an established trading house to hire a VP of Finance to lead and scale finance functions that support core operations and reporting in a dynamic, volatile environment.
The VP of Finance will lead core financial operations, including accounting and budgeting, reconciliations, and real-time cash flow management. The role includes overseeing full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for platform transaction flows, payroll, and AR/AP, managing month-end closes and ledger operations, and designing and implementing internal controls and financial documentation standards to ensure audit readiness with external partners.
The position will deliver accurate management reporting, including monthly management accounts, KPI dashboards, and high-quality inputs for board and investor updates. The VP of Finance will also manage liquidity and treasury across a multi-currency balance sheet, monitor funding needs, oversee trade finance and related credit processes, and ensure collections and compliance activities remain effective, with requirements including senior finance leadership experience and strong expertise in accounting operations and multi-currency cash and treasury management.
