The client is seeking a VP of Acquisitions to lead a high-impact residential real estate acquisition platform across residential markets nationwide. This executive leadership role is responsible for building an acquisition business from the ground up, establishing nationwide operational strategy, developing high-performing teams, and creating a scalable investment platform focused on speed, disciplined underwriting, and exceptional execution.
Key responsibilities include owning the strategic direction and daily execution of national residential acquisitions, building and scaling acquisition operations across multiple markets through hiring, coaching, and development of acquisition professionals, and developing underwriting standards that support disciplined investment decisions with rapid execution. The VP of Acquisitions will also create scalable processes for lead management, seller engagement, contract negotiation, and transaction execution, expand and cultivate a nationwide network of investment buyers and industry relationships, and partner with executive leadership on growth strategy, operational metrics, and long-term expansion plans.
The ideal background includes eight or more years of experience in residential real estate acquisitions, wholesaling, investing, or related investment businesses, along with demonstrated success negotiating directly with homeowners and closing investment transactions. The role requires deep expertise in residential investment opportunity evaluation (including ARV analysis, comparable sales evaluation, repair cost estimation, and maximum allowable offer calculations, as well as distressed property underwriting), experience hiring and leading acquisition professionals or teams, strong analytical and metrics-driven management skills, and experience using CRM platforms and sales performance reporting. The VP will monitor acquisition performance through KPIs such as conversion rates, profitability, transaction velocity, and operational efficiency, implement CRM best practices and reporting workflows to support continued growth, and ensure transactions are completed efficiently while maintaining applicable legal and operational compliance.
