The client is seeking a VP of Merchandising to help lead merchandising strategy for a fast-growing third-party beauty and personal care retail platform. The platform blends streamlined, customer-friendly e-commerce operations with a social shopping experience, and the VP will play a key role in expanding the brand catalog.
The VP of Merchandising will be responsible for bringing new brands to the platform. This includes developing and executing approaches to attract and onboard beauty brands, partnering with stakeholders to align brand needs with the platform’s selling model, and driving initiatives that support growth of the assortment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced executive with direct familiarity with the beauty industry and the ability to communicate effectively with beauty brands to build trust and drive adoption. Experience in merchandising or buying for a beauty retailer—ideally in an online context—is preferred, along with strong executive-level judgment and the ability to influence partners through clearly articulated value.
