The client is seeking an experienced marketing and branding leader for its spirits portfolio, responsible for developing and growing spirits brands in the US. The role will help set the overall business plan and strategy, manage budgets, and collaborate across internal functions and partners, including business development, operations, marketing, and sales. The position focuses on driving sales and creating value through internal and external marketing efforts while building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include setting budgets and objectives, monitoring performance, identifying and addressing resource gaps, and implementing process improvements. The leader will align brand goals with sales projections, work to capture market share, and develop “best in class” consumer-driven, innovative, and agile ways of working. They will guide innovation strategy and manage the consumer-driven spirits portfolio and pipeline, overseeing marketing program execution with internal teams and external agencies, and supporting product launches that may include packaging direction, legal compliance coordination, PR and media, distributor education, and events.
The successful candidate will monitor and analyze performance metrics, manage brand voice across marketing channels, and support brand culture through direction of event activations, partnerships, and sponsorships. They will develop and coach direct reports, oversee delivery processes, collaborate with creative teams from concept through production, and establish reporting measures and KPIs that support strategy. Requirements include 10–15 years of experience in the wines and spirits industry in the US and at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience, along with strong communication, organizational, analytical, and relationship-building skills; prior spirits industry experience is preferred, and proficiency with MS Office is expected.
