Description

Client is seeking a senior credit authority to support complex real asset financing. The role provides broad exposure to credit analysis across energy, infrastructure, and commodities, with a focus on project finance and structured trade transactions, including non-recourse and limited-recourse financings. The seniority of the position will typically involve serving as a key risk decision-maker and advisor on the credit implications of proposed transactions.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive credit analysis for counterparties and transactions, assessing historical performance, evaluating cash flow sustainability, and analyzing the transaction structure. The role will identify and clearly articulate key credit, market, and structural risks, prepare formal credit opinions with recommendations for approval decisions or escalation, and contribute to the final sign-off process. The position will also review and validate internal risk ratings, loss parameters (including regulatory capital inputs), and related financial metrics.

The role includes active portfolio monitoring through ongoing reviews, early warning indicators, and quarterly credit assessments, as well as contribution to watchlist processes and proactive management of deteriorating exposures. It will support internal and regulatory reporting in collaboration with portfolio management and governance teams, and help refine credit policies, underwriting standards, and risk appetite frameworks. The successful applicant will typically have at least 7 years of financial services experience with a strong focus on project finance, infrastructure, and/or commodity-related financing, demonstrated approval experience for complex structured credit exposures, strong analytical and communication skills, and a strong working knowledge of U.S. financial markets and regulatory frameworks; working knowledge of French may be beneficial.
