The client is seeking a VP Commercial Lender to join their community bank. The role involves making and servicing a variety of Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans while assisting senior officers with larger or more complicated loans. Responsibilities include developing and managing commercial loan accounts that align with lending requirements, soliciting commercial clients, obtaining new business through client calls and referrals, and maintaining Centers of Influence (COIs). The candidate will also contribute to deposit growth by promoting additional banking products, analyzing the creditworthiness of customers, and guiding loans through the approval and closing process. Representing the bank in the community through professional and civic involvement is essential for this role.

A bachelor's degree in banking, finance, or a related field is preferred, along with seven or more years of experience in direct lending or credit support with a focus on business relationships. A proven track record in generating CRE and C&I loans with $12MM to $15MM in annual production is critical. Preferred qualifications include formal credit training, experience analyzing financial statements, extensive knowledge of commercial banking products, and familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing processes. Strong analytical skills, effective communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills are required for this position.
