The client is seeking a VP – BDO/Market Manager to drive new business sales performance and support organizational growth by building and nurturing new business relationships. The role focuses primarily on outbound business development to expand the bank’s market presence, leveraging market insights and trends to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
The VP – BDO/Market Manager will be responsible for acquiring and retaining new business clients, growing market share and balance sheet growth, and increasing non-interest income while working to exceed branch sales goals. Key duties include developing and executing sales strategies, maintaining and updating a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track client information and outbound activity toward calling and appointment goals, and marketing products and services by calling on small businesses and networking in the community.
This position also includes cross-functional collaboration and referrals across lines of business to meet client needs, along with serving as a market leader in a local community or designated business area. In addition, the role supports community engagement to promote the bank and branch, and provides operational leadership for branch soundness and profitability, including risk management and compliance expectations. The VP will communicate bank goals to branch team members, conduct meetings to review sales initiatives and policies, and oversee professional development, staffing, product knowledge, and customer service by leading through example.
