Description

A volunteer Board Vice President is needed to support a nonprofit’s mission and growth in advancing mindfulness, mental well-being, and community impact. This role is local to the Greater Pittsburgh Region and is expected to provide leadership and governance guidance in alignment with the organization’s purpose. The VP will work alongside the Board President and Executive Director, and after a period of mentoring, may take over the President role if successful.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Board President to provide strategic direction, chairing the Governance Committee, and supporting board development. The VP will serve as a liaison between the board, executive leadership, and relevant stakeholders, while also advocating for mindfulness and social-emotional learning in the community. The role will also contribute to fundraising and resource development, and step in for the Board President as needed to support succession planning.

The ideal candidate is a committed, experienced leader with a passion for the mission, including experience in nonprofit governance, leadership, and/or strategic planning. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a willingness to engage in fundraising and resource development.
