The client is recruiting a voluntary Director with an ownership mindset to strengthen its board during a period of significant growth. The role supports a timebanking-based community model and a next-generation community platform, which is already live. The organization has a small board capacity and is seeking additional hands to ensure effective oversight and progress.
Two focus areas are available: Treasurer and Grant Funding. As Treasurer, the director will oversee finances, budgeting, annual accounts, regulatory compliance, and provide clear reporting to the board. A background in accountancy, bookkeeping, or charity finance may be beneficial, though practical competence is the priority. As Grant Funding, the director will identify, write, and manage grant applications with a high degree of independence, translating organizational documentation into compelling funded submissions; comfort with using AI tools to draft and work through materials may help with speed and leverage.
Depending on interest and fit, the director may contribute in one or both areas, and additional skills in social media and communications may be welcomed to help address an existing gap. This is a board position that is expected to have visible impact, as the next phase of technology and partnerships will shape the organization’s direction over the coming years.
