The client is a full-service communications agency focused on helping organizations navigate environmental issues and advance initiatives related to sustainability.
The Vice President (or Senior Account Supervisor) will lead U.S. new business development, including preparing agency proposals, participating in negotiations, and helping secure new business. They will project-manage retained or project-based strategic communications assignments, covering areas such as research, strategy, branding, messaging, content, and outreach across all media, with a U.S. or international focus. The role also includes coordinating with senior client representatives on a day-to-day basis, managing delivery of work with remote or hybrid team members to ensure quality, and contributing to business and team growth through hiring and development of junior talent and supporting agency knowledge management.
Minimum qualifications include a strong reputation and demonstrated leadership aligned with supporting a growing U.S. team, along with strong organizational and project management skills. The role calls for substantial experience in strategic or management consulting and in leadership within a communications agency, plus deep knowledge of areas such as carbon markets and environmental and climate-related topics, including climate policy, energy transition, agriculture, food systems, and land use. Candidates should understand the U.S. political system and policy-making as it relates to relevant issues, have experience with media relations and the ability to translate complex topics into compelling stories, and demonstrate outstanding English communications skills and proven project management capabilities, supported by excellent references.
