the client is seeking a Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Communications to provide executive leadership advancing the organization’s long-term strategic direction. In this role, the vice president will help translate the organization’s mission into strategies that expand organizational impact, strengthen relationships with partners, funders, government, and the broader community, and reinforce the organization’s position as a preferred partner across relevant mental health, addictions, housing, and home and community care sectors.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the vice president will work collaboratively with the CEO and senior leadership team to lead growth strategy, performance measures, and key targets, ensuring alignment among organizational strategy, new program and housing development, communications, and external partnerships. Responsibilities include strategic partnership development, communications and brand stewardship, government and funder relations, growth strategy, and innovation, including serving as the client’s representative at sector and system-level planning tables and overseeing communications that support organizational initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience, including at least 5 years at the director, senior director, or executive leadership level with responsibility for enterprise strategy, partnerships, communications, or growth functions. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. The role also calls for demonstrated experience working with multiple levels of government and with foundations and philanthropic and private sector partners, along with familiarity with community care delivery such as supportive housing and complex care, and strong strategic leadership capability to translate vision into scalable, measurable outcomes.
