The client is seeking a senior operational leader for the Vice President, Operations role. This hands-on position is responsible for the day-to-day performance, efficiency, and integration of hospital operations, partnering with executive leadership, clinical leaders, and department heads to support high-quality patient care, operational excellence, and financial performance.
Key responsibilities include leading core hospital functions across clinical and non-clinical departments; overseeing patient flow, capacity management, and service-line operations; and driving process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve outcomes. The role also supports growth initiatives such as service line expansion and increased access to care, translates organizational strategy into operational plans, and provides cross-department coordination to ensure seamless patient care.
The Vice President, Operations will manage operational budgets and resource allocation, monitor financial performance to improve margin through operational efficiencies, and ensure appropriate staffing models to meet patient demand. The role includes ensuring regulatory compliance and accreditation alignment, partnering with quality and clinical teams to advance patient safety and quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, with a master’s degree preferred; additional qualifications include strong knowledge of hospital operations and performance improvement, demonstrated leadership across multiple departments or service lines, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
