Description

The client is seeking an entrepreneurial Vice President of Wineries to build and scale a portfolio of boutique winery brands. This is a builder’s role focused on developing a multi-brand platform, with an initial portfolio representing approximately $10 million in revenue and a vision to grow into a $50+ million enterprise. The VP will be expected to drive profitable growth by building consumer demand, scaling supporting infrastructure, and strengthening overall business performance.

The role will own direct-to-consumer growth across wine clubs, tasting rooms, e-commerce, mailing lists, allocations, digital acquisition, retention, and customer lifetime value. The VP will also lead brand building through differentiated positioning, pricing, storytelling, and demand-generation strategies, while expanding wholesale channels in a way that protects DTC economics and brand equity. In addition, the position will align operations and production planning by connecting demand forecasting with sourcing, inventory, pricing, and product release decisions, and will manage key financial outcomes including revenue, margins, production costs, inventory, DTC profitability, and overall P&L performance.

The VP will support platform building by creating systems, teams, KPIs, processes, and infrastructure to support rapid growth, and will help evaluate and integrate future winery acquisitions while preserving each brand’s individual identity. The strongest candidates will typically have significant boutique winery DTC leadership experience, a track record of building or scaling a winery/brand/division/business, strong expertise in wine club and tasting room operations plus e-commerce and acquisition, and knowledge of production forecasting and inventory. Multi-winery or multi-brand leadership experience, strong P&L capabilities, and an entrepreneurial, hands-on leadership style are expected, with experience in acquisitions and post-acquisition integration highly desirable. This is an on-site executive position in Northern California wine country.
