Description

The client is seeking an entrepreneurial Vice President of Wineries to build and scale a portfolio of boutique winery brands. This builder-focused role will initially lead a multi-brand winery portfolio representing approximately $10 million in revenue, with a vision and resources to grow into a $50+ million platform. The position emphasizes direct-to-consumer brand and demand development, along with profitable growth and platform scale-up across multiple winery operations.

The VP will own key areas including DTC growth through wine clubs, tasting rooms, e-commerce, customer communications, allocations, digital acquisition, retention, and customer lifetime value. Responsibilities also include brand building (positioning, pricing, storytelling, and demand creation), wholesale growth while protecting DTC economics and brand equity, and aligning operations and production with demand forecasting, sourcing, inventory, pricing, and release strategy. The role further includes driving financial performance across revenue, margins, production costs, inventory, DTC profitability, and overall P&L, as well as building the systems, teams, KPIs, processes, and infrastructure needed to support rapid expansion.

Qualified candidates will have significant boutique winery DTC leadership experience and a track record of building or scaling a winery, brand, division, or business, including expertise across wine clubs, tasting rooms, e-commerce, and customer acquisition. The client is also looking for experience in winery brand building and wholesale, production forecasting and inventory knowledge, strong P&L and financial capabilities, and multi-winery or multi-brand leadership experience, with a hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership style. Experience supporting winery acquisitions and post-acquisition integration is highly desirable, and the role is based on-site in Northern California wine country.
