Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Strategy owns the organization’s strategic planning infrastructure end-to-end, including the enterprise planning system, board governance, and the analytical foundation used to inform the CEO’s most important decisions. This role is designed for a high-leverage operator who not only oversees strategy planning, but also builds and runs the core planning capabilities that enable the CEO to act with full strategic leverage.
The Vice President of Strategy drives high-priority initiatives and shapes and supports the organization’s most important strategic bets. In this capacity, the leader is expected to personally build and operate the planning infrastructure, translate strategic intent into actionable plans, and ensure the planning process effectively supports governance and decision-making at the executive level.
The ideal candidate has over three years of post-MBA consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm, along with over three years of industry experience after consulting in either financial services more broadly or in a sponsor-backed environment. The role is best suited to a candidate who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to develop and maintain the systems, governance, and analytics needed for ongoing enterprise planning.
