Description

the client is seeking an experienced VP of Sales to lead sales efforts and guide a sales team while establishing go-to-market strategy and building strong relationships with clients and partners across North America (US & Canada). This role supports expanding the client’s travel product presence in the Americas market and uplifting the team and brand through effective sales leadership and partner engagement.

Key responsibilities include actively promoting international projects, developing and implementing sales and marketing activities to strengthen presence in assigned territories, and leading local sales and account managers. The VP of Sales will plan, monitor, and analyze performance metrics to meet targets and KPIs, while coordinating with HQ, Finance, and Marketing to align budgets and advertising with team goals. The role also involves upholding organizational policies and legislative requirements, acquiring new customers, maintaining and developing relationships with key partners, delivering product presentations and networking, providing market and competitive analysis, and producing comprehensive reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a leadership role with at least 5+ years of experience focused on go-to-market strategy, team development, and successful sales. Strong knowledge of the regional travel market and reliable industry contacts are expected, along with familiarity with tourism and major online booking systems. Competence in API integration and technology-oriented sales, strong analytical skills with KPI management, and data-driven decision-making are required; exceptional organization and problem-solving skills are also expected. Proficiency in English is required, with other languages a plus, and business trips (20–30% of working time may be needed for market visits or events) are expected.
