The client is seeking an adaptable, competitive, data-driven leader to serve as Vice President of Sales. The client operates as a destination marketing organization supported by dedicated room tax revenue across two tourism zones, with strong public-private partnerships throughout its service area. The organization uses room tax funding to drive sales and marketing efforts and plays a central role in advancing major tourism assets, including a sports and entertainment complex and a convention center.

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Sales is a high-impact leader responsible for driving new business and positioning the region as a premier destination for meetings, conventions, sporting events, and group travel. The role is accountable for confirming more than 250,000 future hotel room nights annually, elevating the region’s competitive standing and the client’s economic impact while highlighting the area’s energy and appeal. The VP of Sales will develop and execute revenue-focused sales strategies and lead in a way that supports excellence in leadership, customer experience, innovation, and financial stewardship.

In this leadership position, the Vice President of Sales will typically be expected to manage stakeholder relationships, align sales activities with the organization’s goals, and use data to guide strategy and performance. The role will support the pursuit of high-value group business and help ensure that sales efforts contribute to ongoing growth and destination visibility.
