Description

The client is seeking a Vice President of Programs and Learning, a newly created executive leadership role responsible for ensuring that every program contributes to one integrated vision for children and families. This position is expected to help shape the organization’s next chapter by strengthening organizational systems and deeper integration across programs, supporting continued growth while maintaining a commitment to serving a diverse community.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President will oversee educational programs, including toddler, preschool, after-school, and summer learning, as well as the organization’s Food Access Program. The role is expected to directly supervise the Director of Food Access and three Education Program Directors, and over time may include leadership for a Director of Family Engagement and Experience, with a focus on building a cohesive continuum of services that connects educational excellence with family well-being.

The Vice President will serve on the Executive Leadership Team and develop and execute strategy aligned to the organization’s mission and strategic direction, translating priorities into implementation plans with measurable goals and clear accountability. Responsibilities also include building connected services across education, food and stabilizing resources, and family engagement; using assessment and outcome data to drive organizational learning, innovation, and continuous improvement; and coaching program leaders while facilitating strategic conversations with the CEO and Board. The ideal candidate is expected to be a systems thinker who enjoys leading leaders, coaching directors, analyzing outcome data, and communicating a theory of change in ways that resonate with educators, families, and partners.
