Description

The client is seeking a Vice President of Philanthropic Operations to provide systems-level leadership and strategic alignment to support the successful implementation of its 10-Year Promise. Reporting to the Chief of Philanthropy and serving on the Philanthropy Leadership Team, this role will act as the architect of strategic planning, effectiveness, and priority alignment across the philanthropy division and its collaboration with central teams.

Key responsibilities include leading annual philanthropy division strategic planning, establishing knowledge management and impact measurement infrastructure, and designing frameworks that support priority alignment across philanthropy revenue and cross-functional work. The role will also develop and manage revenue planning and strategic handoff processes across different phases of philanthropy, advance fundraising and operational systems for scalability, and drive innovation in technology, data solutions, and operational best practices.

The Vice President will facilitate ongoing budget oversight and strategic planning for the philanthropy division, partnering with Finance to support compliance frameworks, gift processing systems, and revenue forecasting that align philanthropic strategy with fiscal realities. This leader will coordinate the philanthropy leadership team’s planning calendar and meeting rhythms, provide strategic leadership to an operations team, support shared success metrics and feedback loops, and lead change management by assessing systems and capacity to remove barriers to revenue growth; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred, with at least 8+ years of relevant experience, demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and systems design, strong data analysis skills, and a proven record of cross-functional leadership, relationship-building, and staff mentoring.
