the client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Marketing to lead the organization’s marketing efforts and develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and revenue for a group of ski resorts. The role is focused on enhancing guest experiences while supporting the organization’s priorities for environmental stewardship and employee satisfaction, and it is well-suited to someone with a strong passion for skiing and the outdoors. The vice president will be expected to partner cross-functionally to advance integrated go-to-market efforts.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing marketing strategies to drive revenue and growth, building and leading a high-performing marketing team, and overseeing budgets and resource allocation. The role will collaborate with sales, operations, and finance to plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns, conduct market research to stay current on industry trends and customer preferences, and oversee the development and execution of advertising and promotional campaigns across digital channels and email, as well as direct mail. The vice president will also maintain relationships with key partners such as travel agents, ski clubs, and tourism boards, and will monitor and analyze key performance metrics to guide data-driven decisions.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field, along with at least 10 years of experience in marketing leadership roles. Experience in the hospitality or travel industry is required, including a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in marketing to leisure travelers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams, with a clear enthusiasm for skiing and the outdoors.
