Description

The client is seeking a Vice President of Marketing for an established consumer products organization entering a growth and marketing transformation phase. This executive will elevate the brand, accelerate customer acquisition, strengthen loyalty, and help build a modern marketing engine that drives measurable business results. The role involves shaping go-to-market approaches across digital and traditional channels, building a high-performing marketing team, and influencing major commercial decisions alongside senior leadership.

Key responsibilities include setting enterprise marketing strategy and annual priorities, connecting brand investment, customer acquisition, communications, and lifecycle programs to broader growth objectives. The vice president will build, develop, and coach an organization covering brand, growth, creative, lifecycle, product marketing, and communications; define differentiated brand positioning, messaging, storytelling, and creative standards; and lead acquisition and retention strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels with continuous improvements in targeting, personalization, channel economics, and customer value. The role also partners with digital commerce, product, technology, and commercial leaders to strengthen conversion, measurement, and execution for launches and strategic initiatives, while stewarding a significant marketing budget and establishing executive-level measurement frameworks linking investment decisions to acquisition efficiency, revenue contribution, retention, and brand health.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership accountable for brand and growth outcomes, with demonstrated ability to build and scale marketing organizations delivering measurable growth through integrated paid, owned, and earned channels. They should have broad expertise spanning brand strategy, performance marketing, customer acquisition, lifecycle/CRM, and measurement, along with strong experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-moving consumer or omnichannel environments. Additional qualifications include proven success developing and retaining high-performing teams, strong executive communication and influencing skills, command of positioning, messaging, creative development, and lifecycle strategy, and fluency with marketing effectiveness measures such as acquisition and retention metrics, attribution, conversion, and customer value concepts. A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is expected, with an MBA or advanced degree a plus.
