The client is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to serve as the senior growth and communications leader for a beauty and personal care division. The role will drive brand awareness, expand digital and social reach, elevate consumer engagement, and build marketing programs that support sell-through across retail, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer channels. It is both strategic and hands-on, with an emphasis on speed to market and decisions guided by consumer insight, retailer needs, and commercial impact.
Key responsibilities include developing end-to-end 360° marketing and launch plans covering shopper marketing, in-store activation, PR, social, influencer/creator partnerships, experiential programs, and digital initiatives. The VP will build retailer-specific marketing and promotional plans to support sell-in and sustained sell-through, translate consumer and retailer insights into compelling concepts and launch briefs, and represent Marketing in key customer and internal leadership meetings with a clear, data-driven point of view. They will also oversee marketing budgets, forecasting, and performance dashboards, tracking brand health, velocity, and ROI while adjusting plans based on results.
The ideal candidate will have progressive marketing experience in beauty, personal care, or adjacent CPG categories, with a strong track record of driving awareness and social/digital growth through omnichannel activation. Experience building and scaling marketing programs in both established and entrepreneurial, fast-growth environments is expected, along with deep understanding of consumer behavior, creator/influencer ecosystems, earned media, retail marketing, and digital performance. The VP will be a collaborative, low-ego leader who can design strategy, build process, and remain involved in day-to-day execution, while building and developing a small marketing team and growing the division’s social and digital footprint through content, community management, performance marketing, and ongoing earned media storytelling.
