The client is seeking a strategic and innovative leader to serve as Vice President of Institutional Advancement (VPIA). Reporting to the President, the VPIA functions as the chief advancement and development officer, providing executive leadership for fundraising, alumni and donor relations, communications, and external partnerships to advance the client’s mission, reputation, and long-term sustainability.
The VPIA will collaborate with senior leadership, trustees, academic leaders, athletic leadership, and directors of key programs to identify funding priorities and cultivate donor relationships. As a key member of the President’s Executive Cabinet, the VPIA will provide strategic leadership across institutional advancement, including philanthropy, alumni relations, community engagement, and external partnerships, supporting growth and opportunity through mission-aligned advancement strategy.
In this mission-centered role, the VPIA builds enduring relationships with alumni, parents, corporate and foundation partners, government leaders, and other friends of the organization. By fostering a culture of gratitude and generosity, the VPIA reinforces philanthropy as both a vital source of support and an expression of commitment to the common good, and will shape advancement strategies that deepen the client’s values while supporting its long-term goals.
