The client is hiring a Vice President of Global Procurement to lead a global procurement team across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. In this role, you will drive and implement a global procurement strategy to optimize procurement spending, strengthen supplier relationships, and improve cost savings. You will partner with regional P&L leaders and serve as a strategic member of the executive leadership team.
Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and executing a global procurement strategy over a multi-year horizon, leading indirect and direct procurement globally, and driving execution through clear goal setting and operational steering. You will ensure sourcing and procurement strategies align with organization-wide goals by collaborating with P&L leaders and cross-functional partners such as supply chain, commercial, product development, and R&D. You will also champion a continuous improvement mindset, align quality, delivery, risk, cost, and execution with global strategies, and build strong relationships across R&D and Operations to support collaboration and innovation.
You will lead meaningful executive relationships with global suppliers and ensure clear communication, alignment, and responsiveness across suppliers and internal teams. The role includes holding the global organization and team to performance metrics and business-outcome-focused goals, monitoring industry trends and market indicators globally, and cultivating a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and learning. The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a master’s or MBA preferred, along with extensive procurement and strategic sourcing experience in manufacturing and industrial or chemical environments, including significant leadership experience and strong negotiation, analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
