The client is seeking a Vice President of eCommerce to define and execute the digital commerce strategy that drives revenue growth, customer acquisition, and lifetime value across online channels. This executive will lead the end-to-end eCommerce function, including digital merchandising, user experience, performance marketing, analytics, and platform optimization, and will partner with executive leadership to support digital transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include owning the overall eCommerce strategy aligned with growth objectives; leading, mentoring, and scaling a cross-functional eCommerce team; and taking responsibility for eCommerce business results, including forecasting and revenue targets. The role also covers optimizing online merchandising (product assortment, pricing, and promotions) and conversion rate through testing and personalization; overseeing customer acquisition and performance marketing across digital channels such as paid search, SEO, affiliate, social, email, and display; and working with lifecycle/CRM teams to improve retention and lifetime value.
Additional responsibilities include managing eCommerce platforms and their roadmaps, collaborating with product and engineering on site functionality, integrations, and scalability, and ensuring site performance, uptime, and security best practices. The Vice President will establish KPIs and dashboards to track funnel performance, use data to guide decisions and identify growth opportunities, and promote a culture of experimentation. Qualifications include extensive experience in eCommerce and/or digital marketing, a proven record of scaling online revenue in a high-growth environment, strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, and demonstrated expertise across digital channels, analytics, and eCommerce platform management; retail experience is preferred.
