The client is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic, and highly experienced Vice President of Community Investment & Finance to build and lead an emerging community investment function and provide strategic oversight of The client’s overall finances. This newly created leadership role is expected to imagine and guide a bold, comprehensive approach to using The client’s resources to catalyze additional community investment in the region, advancing financial prosperity and centering community voice.
Over the past two years, The client has been transitioning from strategy to practice, investing in transition funding to support longtime partners, redesigning internal structures and governance, and beginning to operationalize its strategy. In this next phase, the Vice President will help build the internal and external conditions needed to advance the work alongside partners, with an increasing focus on initiatives that connect community voice, organizational strength, and long-term financial prosperity. The role will support The client’s shift from primarily grantmaking toward becoming an investment partner that uses its investment portfolio to catalyze equitable development and asset building for residents.
The Vice President will report directly to the President and serve on the Leadership Team, collaborating with leaders across sectors and difference and aligning efforts with The client’s mission, vision, and values, including acting against racism, building on strengths, and maintaining trust through transparency and accountability. The role is intended for a senior community investment leader who is passionate about The client’s mission and brings a track record of building and growing programs and/or organizations, with an ability to translate strategy into operational practice and sustain effective partnerships to support measurable, positive community impact.
