the client is seeking a strategic and collaborative Vice President of Accelerator and Community Health to lead and advance clinical outcomes and community engagement as part of its health accelerator. the accelerator is designed to be dynamic, innovative, and action-oriented, using insights to better understand and mitigate drivers of social, economic, and health inequities. it brings together clinical care, community and social support, research and education, and policy advocacy to develop and execute comprehensive solutions guided by transformation, accountability, and outcomes.

the Vice President will catalyze how the client transforms as both a clinical care provider and a payer to improve health outcomes across the community. responsibilities include partnering with accelerator workgroups to develop and execute annual goals with an emphasis on sustainability and scalability; progressing hospital health incentive work to support full annual achievement; collaborating with senior leadership to advance the accelerator’s impact and share best practices for organizational transformation; and building accelerated, improved health outcomes throughout the system as a health leader and thought partner. the role also supports innovation beyond the status quo to reduce health differences and gaps in life expectancy and quality of life, and elevates accelerated, accountable, measurable outcomes through clear narrative development and use to support fundraising.

key additional responsibilities include developing, applying, and socializing a business investment framework for new initiatives, and enabling intentional, system-wide approaches that improve health outcomes. the role will typically require substantial leadership experience, with qualifications reflecting a blend of clinical training, business sophistication, operations acumen, community insights, and matrixed leadership capability. a medical degree is preferred, or a master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of broad exposure in relevant areas.
