The client seeks a Vice President of Marketing to drive profitable digital growth and strengthen brand equity across its ecommerce business. This leader will own the full marketing strategy, including customer acquisition, lifecycle engagement, brand positioning, and analytics, with the goal of delivering best-in-class online customer experiences and accelerating revenue.
Key responsibilities include defining an integrated marketing strategy aligned to ecommerce growth objectives and brand vision; leading demand generation and acquisition programs across performance and digital channels; overseeing CRM and lifecycle initiatives to improve conversion, retention, loyalty, and repeat purchases; and strengthening brand identity and storytelling across digital touchpoints. The VP will also partner with UX and merchandising teams to enhance onsite journeys, personalization, and product discovery, and will drive content marketing across landing pages, product pages, editorial, and video to support conversions and higher average order value.
The role emphasizes data, analytics, and optimization through the establishment of performance dashboards, attribution approaches, and KPI frameworks, as well as implementing test-and-learn methodologies to refine targeting, offers, and creative. The VP will collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, and supply chain teams to optimize funnel performance and profitability, build and lead a marketing team spanning acquisition, CRM, creative/content, and brand, and manage agencies and technology partners. Financial ownership includes managing marketing budget, forecasting, and performance outcomes with strong unit economics, while balancing revenue growth with efficient spend and contribution margin goals. Qualifications include extensive progressive digital marketing leadership with deep ecommerce experience, demonstrated ability to scale DTC or omnichannel ecommerce using data-driven strategies, expertise in performance marketing, CRM, web analytics, conversion optimization, and attribution, and strong leadership and cross-functional influence skills.
