The client is seeking a Vice President for Front Office Equity Trading Technology within the financial services sector with a strong global market presence. This role will partner with Front Office Equity users and support cross-market trading connectivity, while delivering technology improvements for Front Office and Middle Office equity applications across global coverage.
Key responsibilities include owning the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support; delivering enhancements and integrations for equity trading systems; and providing second- and third-level production support for trading platforms. The role will also troubleshoot production issues as needed to support trading operations, ensure adherence to SDLC, development standards, and change control, manage vendors for system enhancements and ongoing support, and collaborate with regional teams on trading connectivity.
The successful candidate will typically bring strong IT development experience in an investment banking or capital markets environment, along with proven experience supporting production trading environments and Front-to-Middle Office equity trading systems. Preferred qualifications may include familiarity with regional back-to-back trading flows across areas such as APAC, and demonstrated expertise with relevant programming languages and technologies, strong SQL/database skills, knowledge of FIX messaging and broker/exchange connectivity, experience integrating trading platforms, and an understanding of algorithmic trading strategies and low-touch execution.
