The Vice President for Student Affairs and Engagement at Oakland University is a key leadership position responsible for advancing student success, belonging, and engagement at the university. Reporting directly to the President, the VPSAE will play a central role in implementing Strategic Plan 2030 and creating a holistic, inclusive, and engaging student experience aligned with the university's academic mission and regional impact. This role involves overseeing a wide range of student affairs and engagement initiatives, including student activities, multicultural initiatives, health and counseling services, career development, housing, and student conduct.The VPSAE is tasked with integrating co-curricular learning with academic and enrollment priorities to improve retention, graduation rates, equity, wellness, and career readiness. A key focus of the role is to create a campus culture that supports student success from access and transition through graduation and alumni engagement, using data-informed and equity-driven strategies. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader who can champion student success and engagement across the university community.
