The client seeks a senior financial and business leader to serve as Vice President for Financial Affairs (VPFA) for the health sciences center and Vice Dean of Finance for the School of Medicine. The role provides financial leadership, strategic analysis, and operational stewardship for the client’s health sciences enterprise, supporting key academic units including Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer and partnering closely with the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs, the VPFA/Vice Dean of Finance advises senior leaders and plays a pivotal role in advancing the center’s long-term sustainability and vision.
The VPFA will lead strategic financial planning and decision support for an ambitious period of growth and transformation, including major capital development and efforts to expand residency programs. The position will equip leadership with data, analysis, and financial reporting to guide sound decision-making, support sustainable growth, and strengthen the client’s ability to deliver excellence in education, patient care, and research. Collaboration with health sciences leadership, clinical practice plans, health system finance and administration partners, and campus stakeholders is expected to optimize financial performance and maintain strategic alignment across the enterprise.
The client’s VPFA/Vice Dean of Finance will serve as a senior member of the financial leadership team, contributing to key financial and operational goals and actions for the health sciences center.
