The client is seeking an experienced financial and administrative executive to serve as Vice President for Finance and Administration and CFO. This role provides strategic leadership and hands-on management to help execute the President’s agenda and advance the institution’s mission. The Vice President reports to the University President and serves as a key member of the senior leadership team, supporting overall financial management through both strategic direction and operational oversight.
Responsibilities include managing the offices of Fiscal Affairs, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, and Administration, encompassing functions such as accounting, accounts payable, financial planning and budgets, student accounts, facilities, safety and risk management, and general services. The role leads the annual budgeting process aligned to the strategic plan and monitors budget performance and related initiatives. It also requires visible, accountable executive leadership with regular engagement across stakeholders, as well as guidance for workforce planning, organizational structure, labor relations interpretations, and collective bargaining agreement support to university administrators.
The Vice President will oversee the financial and administrative functions, policies, and systems needed to support university operations, including executive leadership for senior division managers and management of compliance, financial reporting and analysis, risk management, and auditing processes. The role administers cash management and investment programs, oversees equipment and facility needs through financing mechanisms, and supports collaboration related to student accounts and financial aid operations. It also directs tuition and fee billing and collections for students and third-party vendors, develops billing and payment plan strategies, and represents The client in system-level governance groups as necessary, with additional responsibility for physical plant management and related maintenance and utility services.
