The VPEMSE at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore is responsible for overseeing all aspects of student enrollment and experience, from recruitment to alumni success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enrollment metrics, student engagement, and retention strategies, as well as excellent communication skills and leadership abilities. This position reports directly to the university president and is a key member of the cabinet.The Division of Enrollment Management and Student Experience (EMSE) at UMES includes eleven departments that provide a wide range of student support services and educational programs. EMSE is dedicated to promoting access, leadership, exploration, and growth within the university community, from the moment students consider attending UMES to their graduation day. Professionals in EMSE work to create a supportive and enriching environment for students, fostering institutional traditions and lifelong connections through innovative programs and vibrant student organizations.
