The client is seeking a Vice President, External Affairs to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and a driver of the organization’s next phase of evolution. This role operates at the intersection of external engagement and internal execution, acting as a trusted extension of the President/CEO externally while helping ensure stakeholder commitments, priorities, and insights are translated into aligned, disciplined action within the organization. The position is focused on external relationships, strategic partnership with senior leadership, and leading initiatives that support the organization’s public-facing goals.
Core responsibilities include partnering strategically with the President/CEO to align executive priorities with organizational execution, leading or assisting with high-priority projects or pilots on the President/CEO’s behalf, and building trust through clear understanding of priorities and timelines. The Vice President will work with organizational leaders to align project goals, resources, and timelines with overall strategy, and will build and sustain relationships across a diverse range of external stakeholders and internal departments.
The role also includes owning communications and external affairs, including leading the organization’s overall brand strategy and external positioning in partnership with the CEO and other leaders. The Vice President is expected to support effective stakeholder engagement and representation, helping communicate organizational direction and progress while reinforcing commitments through coordinated internal action and external alignment.
