Description

Vice President, Clinical Operations for Women’s and Children’s Health, is a senior leadership role providing strategic and operational leadership for women’s, neonatal, pediatric, and youth health programs, including oversight of the organization’s women’s and children’s care services. Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President is accountable for advancing organizational strategy through transformational change that enhances access, quality, and integration of care across the continuum. The role champions equity, diversity, and inclusion, clinical excellence, and research-informed, family-centred approaches that improve patient and family experiences and outcomes.

The Vice President provides critical leadership for site-level services as well as enterprise and regional planning, fostering partnerships across the health system to advance coordinated, high-quality care for women, children, and youth. Responsibilities include integrating clinical, academic, and research priorities to strengthen system capacity, enable innovation, and support long-term program sustainability aligned with organizational strategic vision. The role emphasizes high-quality operational performance by advancing innovation, digital health, quality improvement, and data-driven, research-enabled care models, alongside strong governance, performance oversight, and partnerships that connect research and innovation to practice.

Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, the Vice President builds relationships across academic institutions, community providers, primary care, public health, Indigenous partners, and regional or provincial networks to support integrated care pathways and seamless transitions, with a focus on research-informed practice. The role also supports clinical trials, innovation initiatives, and education infrastructure while ensuring compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and professional standards. As an accomplished people leader, the Vice President mentors and supports high-performing teams in a culture of excellence, accountability, equity, inclusion, and continuous learning, with accountability for budget and resource management, workforce planning, and long-term sustainability.
