Description

The client is seeking a Vice President & Executive Director to lead its Electrochemical Safety Research Institute. In this senior executive role, you will guide the evolution of the institute’s research program, drive the growth of its laboratory infrastructure, and expand education and outreach initiatives aimed at achieving global impact. You will also provide strategic leadership to advance the institute’s mission to support the design and deployment of safer energy storage and energy generation devices and the ecosystems they enable.

Responsibilities include overseeing in-house scientific research and collaboration to produce scientific insights relied upon by policymakers, manufacturers, standards development and testing organizations, and consumers for informed technology decisions. The role will support efforts such as defining safe conditions for deployment across different battery chemistries and innovating in materials, components, and assemblies intended to reduce inherent safety risks.
