The client is seeking an experienced, collaborative Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP/CFO) to serve as the organization’s chief financial officer and principal advisor. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the VP/CFO will provide leadership and guidance on financial strategy, fiscal stewardship, institutional risk, and long-term financial sustainability, helping to ensure disciplined financial management and clear, timely information for senior leadership and governance bodies.
The VP/CFO is expected to bring immediate stability and execute in a fast-moving environment, moving from assessment to action. Key responsibilities include identifying near-term risks and opportunities, establishing clear financial reporting and forecasting practices, safeguarding institutional resources, strengthening internal controls and accountability across finance functions, and ensuring continuity as priorities and operational needs evolve.
The role also involves supporting broader institutional renewal efforts, including contributing to financial planning and operational improvements that may include infrastructure modernization, enrollment stabilization, expanded fundraising capacity, technology upgrades, and alignment of academic offerings with workforce demand.
