The client is seeking an experienced Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP/CFO) to serve as a cabinet-level chief strategist for budgeting and finance and to lead non-academic operations across the campus. The VP/CFO will manage directors and professional staff responsible for key administrative functions and will report to the college president as a member of the senior leadership team, contributing to institutional management in alignment with long-range goals.

The VP/CFO will provide strategic leadership and oversight for budgeting and finance, with primary responsibility for operational areas that may include physical plant, human resources, risk management, security, legal affairs, and IT services. The role typically requires expertise and a proven record of accomplishment in finance, budgeting, and operations, along with strong familiarity with higher education budgeting and finance trends and best practices. The successful candidate is expected to be committed to the mission of private liberal arts and sciences education and to approach the evolving higher education landscape with confidence and enthusiasm.

Key responsibilities include leading across administrative priorities, supporting the institution’s long-term planning, and partnering with senior leaders to advance financial and operational outcomes.
