The client is seeking a Vice President and Chief Development Officer to serve as a key institutional leader and strategic partner to the client’s President. The role designs and leads a comprehensive fundraising program spanning annual, major, planned, and endowment giving, including foundation and corporate giving, as well as donor engagement and stewardship. This leader will craft a vision, strategy, and roadmap for the function and align resources to deliver on the development plan.
Reporting to and working closely with senior leadership, the client’s board, and key staff, the Vice President/Chief Development Officer will actively direct and support fundraising efforts. The position includes responsibility for a portfolio of key donors and prospects, with an emphasis on building relationships and coordinating engagement across stakeholders. The client is an independent performing arts presenter affiliated with a university, committed to connecting audiences with performing artists through a range of venues and experiences.
The client’s near- and long-term priorities include continued organizational success during a period of historic momentum, including an approaching milestone celebration and planning for a potential new signature arts venue in partnership with the university. This leadership position is expected to help advance development at a critical time and contribute to broader institutional goals through strong collaboration, poise, and thoughtful partnership with executive and board leadership.
