The client is seeking a Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer to serve as a senior executive responsible for enterprise-wide compliance, privacy, conflicts of interest, governance, and regulatory risk management. In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive compliance and ethics program aligned with applicable standards and federal and state requirements, while supporting clinical, academic, and research missions through a strong culture of integrity, accountability, transparency, and patient safety.
You will provide executive leadership for compliance, privacy, conflicts of interest, and fraud, waste, and abuse programs. As the designated senior compliance officer, you will lead with authority, independence, and responsibility for program effectiveness, including establishing and maintaining system-wide compliance policies, procedures, standards of conduct, and related governance structures.
Key responsibilities also include chairing compliance governance committees and acting as an independent, objective authority for evaluating and escalating compliance matters. You will conduct comprehensive assessments of the current compliance program, organizational structure, capabilities, resources, and risk areas, and develop a prioritized strategy to strengthen the function, while reviewing organizational structure and identifying talent, resources, systems, and external expertise needs to support ongoing improvements.
