The client is seeking a Vice President, Strategy to help drive a major enterprise transformation rooted in inclusion and social justice values. In partnership with the Chief Strategy Officer, this role will translate strategic vision into rigorous plans, clear priorities, and measurable outcomes, ensuring member needs remain central while advancing financial sustainability and deepening community impact. The position emphasizes accountability for making strategy real across the organization, with both an internal and external focus on alignment and relationships.
The Vice President, Strategy will provide enterprise leadership across three interconnected portfolios: Enterprise Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Innovation. Responsibilities include developing and annually refreshing the enterprise strategy and business plan; monitoring the external environment to identify opportunities and support appropriate positioning; translating strategy into enterprise scorecards, KPIs, and performance frameworks; and building mechanisms to track execution and provide visibility across strategic commitments. The role will also support governance by surfacing risks, trade-offs, and opportunities for course correction, and help restart paused initiatives (including a branch strategy) by restoring momentum with clear ownership and timelines.
For Mergers & Acquisitions, the role will set and implement strategic direction for mergers, acquisitions, and partnership opportunities, with an explicit expectation to move from test cases to full-cycle, transformational deals aligned with enterprise strategy, growth objectives, and impact priorities. As part of a newly formed and fast-moving division with an enterprise-wide mandate, the successful candidate is expected to operate effectively in ambiguity, build conviction and alignment across a complex organization, and engage thoughtfully with prospective partners, sector peers, and broader ecosystem stakeholders, including presenting disciplined clarity and credible progress to the Board.
