the client is seeking a Vice President, Operations, a senior site operations leader responsible for the overall day-to-day leadership of a hospital facility in partnership with the vice president of Medical Affairs and the chief nursing officer. This role develops operational policies and procedures and supports standards of care and standards of practice to deliver an optimal patient experience. The Vice President, Operations oversees operational performance and financial outcomes across clinical and non-clinical departments through direct and matrixed accountabilities, and plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs operational activities in collaboration with service line executives and other management leaders.

The Vice President, Operations continually evaluates and adjusts organizational strategies and plans to respond to changing needs at the national, state, and local levels. The position ensures efficient services are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public, and staff, and provides management leadership for operational effectiveness. The role reports to the President of the client’s market flagship facility and is supported by regional shared services, including finance, HR, facilities, and other ancillary departments.

Required qualifications include a master’s degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in operational management, including at least five years at a senior executive level, along with a strong commitment to operations. This position calls for superior communication, organization, and human relations skills, with an action- and results-oriented approach to establish key goals, drive and track outcomes among multiple decision-makers, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment. The role also requires the ability to build relationships through integrity and trust, drive collaboration, create a teamwork environment, and use influencing skills to lead effectively through collaboration and shared ownership.
