The client is seeking a Vice President, Membership Engagement and Experience to help advance its mission of uniting, supporting, and representing abortion providers and the people they serve in pursuit of accessible and equitable abortion care. This role will be responsible for strengthening member engagement and improving the overall membership experience as part of a broader organizational effort to meet changing and increasingly challenging conditions affecting abortion care.
Key responsibilities will include growing and strengthening the membership base through evidence-informed clinical standards, quality assurance, and comprehensive training approaches; setting, supporting, and enabling provider learning around evolving standards for abortion care; and helping connect people with accurate information and pathways to services and support. The Vice President will also contribute to representing providers and patients through policy and advocacy efforts, in collaboration with related programs focused on safety and reducing violence and harassment.
To be successful, the Vice President will typically need strong leadership skills and experience engaging members and stakeholders in mission-driven health or advocacy environments, with demonstrated ability to guide strategy and organizational change. The role is expected to support diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism goals and to lead initiatives that may include evolving member services, strengthening organizational sustainability, and amplifying provider and patient voices in policy spaces, with a focus on innovation, solidarity, and resilience in response to the current landscape.
