The Vice President, Flight Operations is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the safety, regulatory compliance, operational integrity, and financial performance of flight operations. This individual serves as the Accountable Executive under Transport Canada regulations, leading all aspects of flight operations including pilots, dispatch and operational control, training, and safety management systems to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and international standards. The VP fosters a safety-first culture and drives operational excellence, reliability, and cost discipline by monitoring key metrics such as on-time performance, completion factor, and crew utilization. Additionally, the VP collaborates with other departments such as Maintenance, Ground Operations, Commercial, HR, and Finance to contribute to enterprise strategy, fleet and network planning, and post-acquisition integration initiatives, while providing leadership during operational disruptions and crisis situations.The VP, Flight Operations plays a critical role in the leadership team by overseeing the performance of flight operations and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This individual is responsible for managing a team of professionals and driving a culture of safety and operational excellence within the organization. The VP collaborates with various departments to contribute to strategic planning, fleet and network optimization, and integration efforts following acquisitions. Additionally, the VP provides leadership during operational disruptions and crisis situations, working closely with other departments to ensure a coordinated response and minimize impact on operations.
